The Christmas markets in the region

The reason we point out our Christmas markets in the region on our website all year round is because they are really beautiful and you should plan your visit in advance. In addition to the Duisburg Christmas market in the city, which usually opens in the last week of November and runs until December 31st, there is an exclusive light market in the Landschaftspark Nord on a weekend in December. There are also the beautiful markets in the Centro Oberhausen, Essen, Dortmund and of course Düsseldorf and Cologne. For all of these markets we are very centrally located in the middle of the Ruhr area and you can get there quickly and cheaply by S-Bahn. Of course the Duisburg Christmas market is the most beautiful in the region - not just because of the stalls, but also because of the people there J . You shouldn't just stay on Königstrasse, but also head further west: On Münzstrasse opposite the Knüllermarkt (a decoration shop with incredible Christmas ideas): This alternative market is always worth a detour. The light market in the north of Duisburg in the Landschaftspark Nord is something completely different. In the industrial setting, with lots of light and great showmen, an incredible atmosphere is created that is definitely worth seeing.
