Public transport in Duisburg
Public transport in Duisburg is organized by the DVG (German Transport Company). It transports a good 142,000 people daily by bus and train, not only through Duisburg but also to neighboring cities. In addition, Deutsche Bahn operates the S-Bahn (commuter rail) trains. These provide rapid connections within the city to other cities such as Düsseldorf, Düsseldorf Airport, Essen, Gelsenkirchen, and Dortmund.
Our hotel is approximately 250 meters from the Kulturstraße stop. From there, you can take the U79 tram to Duisburg City Center, the main train station, and Düsseldorf. The tram also goes directly to the Düsseldorf Trade Fair Center. Tram tickets can be purchased from the ticket machine at the station. This accepts cards and cash. Tickets cannot be purchased from the driver.
Bus 934E also stops here and takes you to the south of Duisburg and the main train station. You can get bus tickets from the driver and pay in cash or by card.
The S1 train stops at the Schlenk station, approximately 350 meters away. From this station, you can quickly get to the hotel from the main train station—a journey of about 2 minutes—or from or to Düsseldorf Airport.
