Everything is homemade \u2013 even the relishes. Give it a try \u2013 it's worth it. Oh, and there's also an ice cream parlor attached, which is nice too. Closed on Tuesdays.<\/p>\n

A fish restaurant in Duisburg? Yes, and what a restaurant it is! But don't expect candles, a white tablecloth, or alcohol \u2013 just incredibly fresh fish. Your host is Turkish, and his faith forbids alcohol \u2013 but the food is amazing. An appetizer and fish platter meant for one person can easily feed two. You can see the fish in the display case beforehand and then choose. Closed on Mondays.<\/p>\n

A blend of Spanish, Italian, and Turkish cuisine \u2013 can that work? Absolutely! Tapas for starters, main courses from Italy and Turkey, and fantastic desserts. Yes, it's a bit of a drive \u2013 but well worth a visit for anyone who enjoys variety and Mediterranean cuisine. Parking is available \u2013 including for bicycles. Closed on Mondays.<\/p>\n

If everything goes well, with their 800-degree grill, they probably serve some of the best steak in Duisburg \u2013 if things don't go well, which can happen, just complain. On top of that, the meat they sell is really good and there's a great selection. A little insider tip.<\/p>\n

One of the oldest Italian restaurants in Duisburg, with a menu like it's from 30 years ago \u2013 and that's not meant in a bad way. Spaghetti served from a Parmesan wheel, pizza with a pool of water you could lie in, and the cold counter \u2013 a dream. And then there's the wine from their own vineyard. Food like you're in Italy, and I don't say that often.<\/p>\n

Patrizia and Nico have opened a restaurant in a small villa near the zoo that showcases a different side of Italian cuisine. It's truly fantastic and one of the best restaurants in Duisburg. In summer, you can sit in the garden, and in winter, inside the charming little villa. However, you should expect to pay around \u20ac100 per person for a meal with wine. It's well worth eating here, not least because of the three toques awarded by G&M. Closed on Sundays.<\/p>\n

Besides the Italian guest workers, Duisburg also took in and integrated many Turkish guest workers back then. Naturally, they brought their cuisine with them, and it's much more than just doner kebabs and lahmacun. One of the best is Marmaris \u2013 on the banks of the Ruhr. The owner is incredibly friendly, and what her kitchen conjures up is simply divine.<\/p>\n

A chip shop on a restaurant recommendation list? Of course, we're in the Ruhr area, and delicious is delicious \u2013 end of story. And now for something a little something to think about: The inventor of currywurst comes from Duisburg \u2013 as proven by old documents in 2024. Closed Saturday and Sunday. Best combined with a visit to the wedding mile \u2013 you won't believe what you see there. Parking available in the MM parking garage.<\/p>\n

Sour kidneys, mashed potatoes and applesauce, pork knuckle, and much more from Rhineland cuisine are freshly and expertly prepared there. Since the restaurant is located in the pedestrian zone, you'll have to walk a bit \u2013 but usually not far \u2013 there are plenty of parking garages.<\/p>\n

The chef's new goal: to earn a Michelin star. It shouldn't be a problem \u2013 he already has three toques.<\/p>\n
